Well, I'm back to my normal self I think. I've done some thinking and also just accomplished a lot of cool stuff and have more cool stuff lined up. I feel like I'm over the gunk I was going through before. Didn't take too long. :-)
Anyway! Yoga month has ended. I'll probably go back and try more of the yoga related things I wanted to do but didn't get to while dealing with my flu/gloominess. Opera month is now in full swing. I've attended a concert performance of Kern and Hammerstein operetta Music in the Air, but I need to get to a real opera. I listened to Madama Butterfly this morning as I got ready for my day, and it made me think of high school and how I used to play the great Act I duet from that every morning as I did my hair. Tomorrow, if I have time, I'd like to give
this a try. I also will keep listening to more operas and try to listen to a lot that I don't know, and I will of course get to the Met for two or three at least.
The Met's website has this awesome feature that you can subscribe to as well, that allows you to watch hd broadcasts of operas and listen to tons of recordings. I might have to give it a whirl this month. Seems like it'd make a really cool gift for the Colonel, too.
Check it out!In other news, I started looking around for blogging advice to share with my fellow Meridian 13 News writers as we dive into the world of internet self promotion. I found a great article on
the Slate's website. Meridian 13 News had a meeting this morning to plan out our second episode, because OUR FIRST ONE IS UP AND RUNNING AS OF TODAY!!!!!
Tell your friends. That's all for now. Have to get back to writing. More Meridian 13 News is on its way, and the Gingersnaps will soon be churning out new scenes and songs.
